Good question! For starters, the annual cost of a technical writer ranges from $85,000 to $130,000 plus benefits. Beyond the cost, many teams find their technical content needs are cyclical: high during releases or new feature-launches, but lighter in-between. With our subscription, you can scale up or pause as your technical content needs change, ensuring you only pay for the technical content you actually need.

Once subscribed, you're able to add as many content-requests to your queue as you'd like, and they will be delivered one-by-one.

On average, most requests are completed within three business days. However, more complex requests can take longer.

Typical requests are delivered in 72 hours on average. This includes API-references, integration-guides, tutorial-series, etc. If a request is much larger in size, expect to receive deliverables every 24-48 hours until the entire request is complete.

You might be surprised to hear this, but WordWeave is actually an agency of one. This means you'll work directly with me, founder of WordWeave and former software-engineer. We may bring on additional technical writers to help with increased demand.

We understand you may not have enough technical content work to fill up an entire month. Perhaps you only have one or two technical content requests at the moment; that's where pausing your subscription comes in handy. Billing-cycles are based on a 30-day period. Let's say you sign up and use the service for 20 days, and then decide to pause your subscription. This means that the billing-cycle will be paused and you'll have 10 days of service remaining to be used anytime in the future.

Larger requests are broken down on WordWeave's end. This applies to full API-documentation, extensive SDK-guides, knowledge-bases, etc. You should expect to receive a reasonable amount of work every 24-48 hours until the entire request is done.

Most technical content is delivered in MarkDown and OpenAPI/Swagger formats. We can work with any platform including GitHub, GitBook, ReadTheDocs, or your custom solution.

WordWeave offers a ton of flexibility in how you request technical content using Trello. Some common ways clients can request content is directly via Trello, sharing Google-Docs, API-specifications, or even recording a brief video on Loom (for those who prefer not to write their briefs out). Basically, if it can be linked to or shared in Trello, it's fair game.

No worries! We'll continue to revise the content until you're 100% satisfied.

Absolutely; WordWeave does not cover the following: general copywriting, marketing content (except technical blog-posts), legal documentation, or generic content. We also do not create nor insert media (images, videos, etc.) into the content; that would have to be done on your end. We specialise exclusively in technical content.

That's fine. You can pause your subscription when finished and return when you have additional technical content needs; there's no need to let the remainder of your subscription go to waste.

Due to the high-quality nature of the work, there will be no refunds issued, but you have unlimited revisions at no additional cost.
